1.O Lord, our Lord, how ex-cel-lent, Thy name in all the earth Let ev-'ry peo-ple, tribe, and tongue, Pro--claim its bound--less worth. Out of the mouth of lit-tle ones, Thou hast es-tab--lished praise, That Thou may still Thine en---e-my, And swift--ly end his days.
2.When we the u-ni--verse be-hold, The work of Thy great hand The moon and stars which Thou or-dained, By lof-ty wis--dom planned; O what is man that Thou should'st care, That Thou should'st mind--ful be? The Son of Man Thou vis--it--est, In Thine e--con-o-my.
3.O Je-sus Lord, Thou art that man, The One who joined our race, Who put up-on Him--self the flesh, And took a low--er place. But now with glo--ry Thou art crowned, With sov-'reign-ty com--plete. Now through Thy Bod-y Thou dost rule, With all be--neath Thy feet.
4.Thine in-car-na-tion, ris-ing too, And Thy trans-cen-den--cy, Thy Lord-ship, Head-ship, king-dom full, And Bod-y here we see. By all these steps of work di-vine, Thou hast es-tab--lished praise. With o-ver-flow-ing hearts to Thee, Our joy--ful voice we raise.
5.Oh, soon that bless-ed day shall come, All tongues these words shall peal But in the lo-cal church-es now, We have a fore--taste real. O Lord, our Lord, how ex-cel-lent, Thy name in all the earth Let ev-’ry peo-ple, tribe, and tongue, Pro-claim its bound-less worth.
