1.When first I came here, they spoke of Je-sus, Such things I nev-er had heard be-fore, But in my heart was a new sen-sa-tion, Past ex-pla-na-tion, such peace and warmth. My form-er trou-bles, all but for-got--ten, I left the bond-age of earth un-con-scious-ly. I saw their fac-es, so pure and ge-nu-ine, My heart said, "Tru-ly God is here"
2.They said God want-ed to get in-side me, My life, my Sav-ior, if I'd al-low; I'd nev-er seen Him, I'd nev-er known Him, I on-ly knew this: "I need Him now" So with a pure heart I turned my be--ing, Called, "O, Lord Je-sus" Asked Him to save me. No oth-er name is so sweet, so love-ly; From that day forth, so real to me
3.No more en-cumb'-rance, true rest I en-ter, No con-dem-na-tion, I'm jus-ti-fied, Joined to the Sav-ior, my life for-ev-er, I live to God now, by faith have life; In Christ I glo-ry, in Christ re-joi--cing, I'm one with Him, as a new cre-a--tion, This is the sto-ry of my sal-va-tion, Such wond'-rous love, such wond'-rous song
